Genuine Exposure: Integrated Dynamic Range (IDR)

Dynamic Range refers to the difference between the lightest whites and darkest blacks in an image. Cameras have a rather limited dynamic range, especially compared to the human eye.  IDR Technology increases the real dynamic range of an image, by combining different exposures to create more realistic and fully exposed picture.  While High Dynamic Range (HDR) images can sometimes be visually appealing, we find that IDR images are much more life-like.  IDR images are true to what the human eye really sees.

IDR is one of our specialties at Tonda Surround Imaging.  The secret is in the meticulous blending of the different exposures both by hand and with state of the art software solutions.  It is our goal to construct 360° images that reproduce scenes exactly as the eye perceives them.
